Glorioso’s Appetito is a culinary space for people to gather and experience the cuisine of Italy. It is the latest chapter in the Glorioso family of businesses in Milwaukee. With over 70 years of bringing the Italian culinary experience to Milwaukee, the Glorioso family has renovated the old grocery store space at 1020 E. Brady street and has transformed it into a place where people can come together to experience the taste of Italy. Appetito consists of three components: Cucina (kitchen), Eventi (events), and Scuola (school). Cucina is the open concept kitchen that provides additional catering capabilities for Glorioso’s. Eventi is an event space where people can host private or corporate events. Scuola is a cooking school where people participate in cooking classes and cooking demonstrations. Together, Appetito provides a space for cooking classes, demonstrations, food and beverage tastings, guest chefs, tour groups, private lessons, culinary nights, chef’s counter and community events as well as private, corporate and social events.

Great Lakes Distillery is Wisconsin’s first craft distillery, producing award-winning spirits right here in Milwaukee. Great Lakes Distillery produces Rehorst Vodka, Rehorst Citrus & Honey Vodka, Rehorst Gin, Roaring Dan’s Rum, Amerique 1912 Absinthe, Kinnickinnic Whiskey and a host of other seasonal products. We are pleased to be able to open our distillery to the public for tours. During our approximately 1 hour tour, visitors will learn about our award winning products, how and why we make them and receive a flight of five products to try (complimentary soda is available for non-drinkers).

The Grohmann Museum houses the 800+ European and American paintings and sculptures (1580-present) in the Man at Work Art Collection, the world’s most comprehensive collection documenting the evolution of organized work.

The Grohmann Museum is home to the Man at Work collection, which comprises more than 1,400 paintings and sculptures dating from 1580 to the present. They reflect a variety of artistic styles and subjects that document the evolution of organized work: from farming and mining to trades such as glassblowing and seaweed gathering. The Grohmann Museum welcomes visitors to three floors of galleries where a core collection is displayed as well as special feature exhibitions. The museum also features a spectacular rooftop sculpture garden. The museum is part of Milwaukee School of Engineering, an independent university with about 2,600 students. MSOE offers bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees in engineering, business, mathematics and nursing.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts’ Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts (commonly referred to as the “Zelazo Center”) is a state-of-the art venue for events ranging from the most intimate meeting to the grandest wedding. Originally used as a synagogue by Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun since 1922, the building boasts a grand entrance, two elaborate stained glass displays, as well as exquisite molding, arches, and decorative elements. The Zelazo Center includes the 758-seat Helen Bader Concert Hall, two conference facilities, six new warm-up/practice spaces and two dining and/or ballrooms.
