North Point Mansions Walking Tour

Presented by Historic Milwaukee, Inc. at Fountain near the southeast corner of North Avenue and Lake Drive

This tour covers the oldest section of Milwaukee’s Upper East Side and includes the upper-class residential neighborhood stretching south to Back Bay Park and north to Wahl Avenue at Belleview. This area is closest to Lake Michigan and is known as the North Point Historic District. The neighborhood is known for its intact early twentieth century architecture and historical importance. Highlights of the tour include: North Point Water Tower, St. Mary’s Hospital, Frederick C. Bogk house (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright), Gustav Trostel Mansion, William Osborne Goodrich House, Gustav and Hilda Pabst House and Villa Terrace.
