Join us Saturday, September 10th as NWSCDC hosts a Stop the Violence: Walk/Run for Peace “Free Event” All ages are welcome! The goal of this Walk/Run for Peace is to have the community come together to focus on solutions
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, incidences of crime, homicide, domestic violence, and reckless driving have increased dramatically in the City of Milwaukee. The goal of this Walk/Run for Peace is to have the community come together to focus on solutions as to how we can promote change, create healthy lifestyles, and encourage positive behavior within our neighborhoods.
The 3.9 mile Walk/Run will start and end at the Century City Tower (4201 N. 27th Street). Registration begins at 8:30am, and we will depart promptly at 9:00am.
We will provide free t-shirts, snacks, and a water stop along the route. Resources will be available after the Walk/Run.
Free parking is available in the lot behind the Century City Tower building (enter lot from Hope Avenue).
Rain date: Saturday, September 17th (same time & location)
