Free panel discussion about the intersection of art, architecture, and engineering.
Join us on Friday, September 16, from noon–1pm, at the Grohmann Museum at MSOE, for a free panel discussion between Emily Schlemowitz, Senior Curator at WMQFA; Minal Hahm, PE, CFM, Principal Engineer at M Squared Engineering LLC; and Mika Frank, Director of Business Development at Lakeside Development Company. The discussion will highlight six commonalities between the panelists’ fields of architecture, art, and engineering: collaboration, transformation, vision, strategy, communication, community, and joy. This free panel brings together a civil engineer, art curator, and architectural designer for a conversation about the commonalities between their three fields.
Presented in conjunction with WMQFA’s current exhibition “Counting Threads” (July 29–November 13, 2022), an interdisciplinary look at the intersection between contemporary fiber art and math, this panel is a partnership between the Grohmann Museum at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts (WMQFA).
