Rotary Club of Mitchell Field

Members of The Rotary Club of Mitchell Field are your friends and neighbors; people who embrace high ethical standards and who believe in building a better world. We work together to solve problems locally through our club. For example, every year we deliver Thanksgiving baskets to the less fortunate, offer scholarships to high school students in the area, give money to worthy community organizations and stage recreational events for seniors and disabled citizens. We also work globally through Rotary International. RI is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide.

RI is diverse, dynamic and determined but one of the best things about Rotary is that we think big! We address global issues such as education, job training, clean water, hunger, health and sanitation. You might know Rotary because of our highly publicized and incredibly successful effort to End Polio Now. So far we’re 98% of the way to our goal of wiping this dread disease from the face of the earth! That's only been done once before in the history of the planet. A coalition of nations eliminated smallpox but never before has an effort like this been undertaken by a private organization so we're making history!
