Chant Claire Chamber Choir is excited to be singing for the very first time in the beautiful St. Joseph’s Chapel at the School Sisters of St. Francis convent. Our spring concert takes place on Saturday, April 23 at 7 p.m.
This concert was designed to look into mankind’s relationship with the stars and all of the underlying symbolism that accompanies it. For as long as humans have walked the earth, we have stared up in awe and wonder at the stars. We believe this space will serve as the perfect setting for the contemplative, ethereal tone of much of the music we are performing.
Repertoire includes a variety of diverse musical selections, including pieces sung in several different languages (German, French and Italian to name a few), contrasted haunting and uplifting melodies, and a lesson in the traditional shape-note singing.
Seating for the concert is on a first-come, first-served general admission basis. A $10 suggested donation at the door is greatly appreciated and will continue to help us make music, paying for rehearsal and concert spaces, music, accompanists, musicians and other choir costs.
We hope you will join us for what promises to be a special evening of music!
