The Corners of Brookfield’s second annual Winterfest event (Jan. 17-19) aims to be even bigger and better this year, transforming the popular town center into a winter wonderland and featuring brand new attractions and activities.
New this year and in partnership with the Milwaukee Admirals, The Corners’ Market Square will feature a 40 ft x 50 ft synthetic ice rink. With a $5 donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, visitors can enjoy skating on the region’s only synthetic ice rink. Skate rentals are included in the ticketed donation, which can be purchased online through Eventbrite, or onsite with cash or card. For every ticket purchased, guests will receive a voucher for a Milwaukee Admirals game. The rink will be open on Friday, Jan. 17 from 2-8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 19 from 11 a.m. 6 p.m.
Winterfest will again feature classic, breathtaking ice sculptures on display. New this year is the addition of fun, interactive ice sculpture games, like mini golf, tic tac toe and more. All sculptures are designed by Art Below Zero.
On Saturday, Jan. 18 guests can enjoy a meet-and-greet and skate with Milwaukee Admirals mascot, Roscoe, as well as a Hot Cocoa Crawl from 3 – 5 p.m. Throughout the weekend, there will be activities like face painting, arts and crafts, retailer sales and more.
“Our inaugural Winterfest was such a hit, we’re thrilled to be hosting the second annual festival with exciting new activities,” said Chelsea Roessler, director of marketing. “This year we’re honored to partner with the Milwaukee Admirals, Ronald McDonald House Charities and Art Below Zero to offer a fantastic event for the community. We invite everyone to come out and join us in some winter fun this month!”
