On the streets of Milwaukee, lurking in the shadows of history, live tales of ghosts and haunted buildings. These tales, whispered so as not to wake the dead or frighten the living, have endured the passage of time. First, we’ll meet a historian at the Forest Home Cemetery Hall of Fame who will take you on a tour of this infamous cemetery to meet Milwaukee’s rich and famous. Its sprawling landscape, covers 189 acres, is filled with the rich and famous of old Milwaukee. Most of the big names in Milwaukee’s brewing industry, banking industry and manufacturing industry all now reside at the Forest Home Cemetery. Forest Home is both a public cemetery and garden cemetery, meaning it was designed to serve as a public park while family members would make a day out of visiting their deceased loved ones. You will see the enormous and magnificent granite structures of the Schlitz family, Pabst family, Harnischfeger family, Davidson family, and the largest of them all belonging to the Blatz family.
Next, we are headed to the “Most Haunted Bar in America”. Just when you think you’re alone, you’re really not. We’ll take a tour that starts in the basement where you\’ll see the portal and finishes at the top floor. You will learn about the history as a brothel to current day and why some people just won’t leave. After the tour, enjoy a signature “Ghost Ale” beer and have some time to explore on your own.
