Paczki, Pierogi & Polish Vodka - A Polish Pre-Lent Celebration!

 

Join Purely Wisconsin for a Polish Pre-Lent Celebration!  We will get to try one of Milwaukee’s best paczki’s from a Premier Local Bakery along with a beverage and go home with a 6 pack of their famous mixed Paczki’s.  Then it’s Pierogi time at Milwaukee’s only Authentic Polish Restaurant and named “Best Pierogi Restaurant in Wisconsin.”  Here we will get a cup of traditional Polish soup, followed by a sample platter of 4 pierogi and finished off with a flight of traditional Polish Vodkas!

Soup Choices are needed in advance: Red Borscht (beet soup), Dill Pickle, or Bacon Barley

While the practice of Pączki Day is traditionally observed the day before Ash Wednesday in the United States, in Poland, pączki sales are the highest on Tlusty Czwartek, or “Fat Thursday.” (The Thursday before Ash Wednesday). This day marks the start of the final week of the Pre-Lenten celebrations.
