On Sunday, March 17th at 4:00 pm, the Master Singers of Milwaukee, under the direction of Dr. Eduardo Garcia-Novelli (a native of Argentina) will present a concert entitled Misa Tango at All Saints’ Cathedral, located at 818 E. Juneau Avenue. This intriguing musical exploration of the “tango” genre will showcase the extraordinary talents of three world-class musicians of Argentinian descent. The centerpiece of this performance is a composition by the Argentinian composer, Martin Palmeri, entitled Misa A Buenos Aires. The irresistible rhythms of the Argentine tango are showcased in Mr. Palmeri’s choral setting of the traditional Catholic Mass. Mr. Palmeri has performed his composition all over the world and this performance is the Midwest premier of this exciting piece! The MSM is thrilled to announce that Mr. Palmeri will be joining us at the piano for this event. In addition to the lush and passionate sound of strings, this piece is accompanied by the bandoneon – a traditional tango instrument – and MSM also welcomes Daniel Binelli, native of Argentina and world-renowned bandoneon player.View less
