Medusa Monologues

 

In celebration of International Women’s Day, filmmakers and theater artists Mary Chuy and Kristin Peterson in collaboration with No Studios present the 2nd Annual Medusa Monologues Show, a collection of 8 monologues that span the subjects of passion, love, grief and the celebration of womanhood. Each monologue is written, directed, and performed by Milwaukee local artists of all types.

The Medusa Monologues Show takes place in the screening room at No Studios from Thursday, March 12 to Monday, March 16 with both matinee and evening showings that include all 8 monologues. Tickets are $15 (Eventbrite) and attendees are encouraged to park on the street or in the nearby Brewery Parking Garage off of 9th Street.

The Medusa Monologue Show was created in March 2019 to give a stage to local women writers, directors and performers; a stage to explore and express their most intimate stories with a captive audience. The Medusa Monologue Show aims to give the stage and the screen to the womxn and girls so that they can speak their own stories. We are going to reclaim our stories as our own.
