Holiday Stocking Stuffer Day Trip to Kenosha and Racine, WI

 

Get on the bus and get your holiday stocking ready to be stuffed with items you will receive along the way! Our first stop of the day will be at Milaeger’s. We will get a tour of their greenhouses along with some time to shop and explore. Milaeger’s Inc offers products ranging from home and garden accessories to live flowers, trees, plants, shrubs, roses and tomatoes. We’ll also receive a special holiday plant for our stockings! Next, we will make our way to Larsen’s Bakery. Home of Racine’s Original Kringle. In this long-running, family operated bakeshop we will learn about the Danish holiday traditions. We’ll also receive a small Kringle to take home in our stocking! Next, we will have lunch at the House of Gerhard’s. We will have a wonderful meal including a talk about German Holiday Traditions and a something special for our stockings! After filling our bellies we will stop at Tenuta’s Italian Deli. They are known as the finest Italian Deli this side of Italy. Tenuta’s is packed with authentic quality Italian products. They have everything from domestic Italian foods, liqueurs, and kitchen tools. We will get something special for our stockings. Our final stop of the day will be at DeRango’s Premium Chocolates.  DeRango The Pizza King & Premium Chocolates is committed to making fine, gourmet chocolates the old fashioned way… by hand. Using only the finest ingredients available, and old family recipes, our candy makers are bound to satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth.  We’ll get a sweet treat for our stocking here as well! After a fun filled day, we will return home with our stockings stuffed!
Menu: Choice between 1) Bavarian Pot Roast: Tender sliced beef topped with brown gravy. Served with red cabbage and mashed potato 2) Roasted Chicken Breast: Boneless chicken breast and herb stuffing. Served with vegetable and mashed potato 3) Rouladen: Sliced beef roll-up with stoneground mustard, onions, bacon and pickle. Topped with brown gravy. Served with red cabbage and mashed potato. All entrees include homemade german hardrolls, sweet muffins, chicken spaetzle soup, schaum torte, and coffee, tea or milk.
