Chili Cook-Off and Music!

 

Join us on a beautiful autumn evening for great food, music, and fun!

Come and taste a wide variety of chilis and vote for your favorite! Twenty different culinary contestants will be offering you unlimited samples as they compete for the Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice awards.

Chef Franco Sanchez, co-owner of Cafe & Gallery and Sisu Cafe in Bay View, returns to UUCW as our honorary chili judge.

Music by Kaleidoscope! This year, the Kaleidoscope band will be spicing things up with live performances of classic hits from the 60s through today. Sit back and enjoy the tunes and great food.

Wait, you don’t like chili? Relax. Once again, Leslie Peterson will be cooking a batch of her legendary mac & cheese. Everyone loves Leslie’s mac & cheese!

While chili samples are unlimited, don’t forget to save room for various beverages and delicious homemade baked goods available for purchase. There will be a selection of desserts for purchase ($3 – $5 for bars and cookies and whole pies for $20).
What’s the Cook-Off Schedule?

4 – 6:30 pm Chili Tasting with complimentary condiments and fixin’s. Corn muffins, oyster crackers, sour cream, onions, shredded cheese and hot sauce will be available.

6:30 pm Chili tasting ends and the voting closes. Bakery and beverage sales continue until 7 pm.

6:45 pm Announcement of winners

Don’t miss out! Buy your tickets in advance. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 12 and under. Remember, tickets include unlimited chili samplings with all the fixin’s!
