Brickworld® LEGO® Exposition Comes to Wisconsin State Fair Park
In Milwaukee Area on April 18-19

The Brickworld® LEGO® Exposition continues its 2020 Season in the Milwaukee area over the weekend of April 18-19, 2020, at the Wisconsin State Fair Park, Products Pavilion, 640 South 84th Street, West Allis, WI, 53214. The Expo runs Saturday from 10 am-6 pm, and Sunday from 10 am-5 pm. General admission tickets are $14, and $11 for military members and first responders with ID (at the door only). Kids three and under are free.

At Brickworld Expo Milwaukee, hundreds of hobbyists of all ages will enjoy playing at LEGO and DUPLO brick stations, seeing spectacular creations, and visiting vendor booths to enhance collections. The Expo will feature a replica of Miller Park complete with retractable roof, the animated Harry Potter Quidditch Field, a 37-foot-long amusement park, The Garden, where kids can build flowers, and public competitions for prizes.

The Expo will also feature a Graffiti Wall, where participants can create whatever they like; and the Great Ball Contraption (GBC) a giant collection of small LEGO machines where attendees can use a bulldozer to push thousands of LEGO soccer balls around a loop. Many Expo attendees film GBC demonstrations, walkthroughs and module-building tutorials to post online. Brickworld holds the record for the longest GBC loop, and this area is often the most popular display where attendees should plan to spend time watching the entire system.

Brickworld provides LEGO fans a large convention space to explore new ideas and strengthen creative communities in person. “Brickworld invites fans to take their eyes off of screens and put their hands onto bricks to submerge in the fun of 3D playing and collaboration among friends,” said executive director and Master Builder Mark Larson.

“Brickworld is also delighted to see the new Lego Masters series on FOX,” Larson added. “LEGO bricks deserve to be in primetime, and we plan to use those on-air competitions as inspiration for some Expo events.” Larson invites enthusiasts to these upcoming expos across the Midwest:

Regarding the recent COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak, Brickworld is working to keep guests safe and healthy during the event so interactive displays will have hand sanitizer stations available. Signage regarding the best way to keep hands clean will be posted around the hall, including in all restrooms. The maintenance staff will increase the schedule for sanitizing open surfaces. To promote public safety, responses to this developing situation will be updated as needed.

Carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen created LEGO in 1932, named after the Danish world leg godt, meaning play well. The LEGO brick is widely recognized as one of the most educational toys in the world. Research suggests children learn best through play and LEGO bricks offer a wide range of benefits to development and confidence. Using LEGO bricks exercises creativity skills, hand-eye coordination, and matrix reasoning.
