For the fourth year in a row, hardy northerners will cure their cabin fever at the Urban Candlelight Hike in Three Bridges Park. FREE FOR EVERYONE:  Two miles of candlelit trails on the Hank Aaron State Trail - this event will take place with or without snow! Roaring campfires! 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm: Fat Tire Bike Demos with Wheel & Sprocket: This is your chance to get on a fat tire bike! On the Nature of Wisconsin is the first exhibition at The Warehouse to feature only artists who were born or have spent significant time in the state of Wisconsin. The opening reception will be Friday, January 17th from 5-9pm during Gallery Night. Special guests include educators from The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center and sculptor Bill Reid with a pop-up exhibition.  On the Nature of Wisconsin will run through March 20th. Featuring work from the permanent collection, On the Nature of Wisconsin is a celebration of Wisconsin artists and their relationship with the natural world. A state known for its fresh water, forests, and parks, this exhibition examines the connections artists have made and observed with these surroundings. Works included depict sweeping landscapes, quiet farm life, re-imagined plants and animals, and objects exemplifying natural forms. We are pleased to welcome this fabulous theatre troupe once again in Three Bridges Park along the Hank Aaron state Trail near 33rd Ct (south side of the river). Come and enjoy Shakespeare in this beautiful natural setting in the Menomonee River Valley! See complete list of shows here. To fully enjoy the show, we recommend, bringing a blanket and/or a chair, and a picnic dinner. 5:30pm: Workshop - Before each show, the Summit Players offer a free, 45-minute educational workshop entitled "Inside Shakespeare's Story: The Winter's Tale." Between 1910 and 1920, the Harley-Davidson Motor Company went from a Milwaukee startup to a global success story. When the dust settled at the end of that formative decade, Harley-Davidson stood tall as the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world. A recently discovered cache of architectural drawings includes sketches of the original Juneau Avenue facility. The drawings, along with archival photographs, demonstrate the whirlwind pace of the company’s early growth. While building an international business—going from producing just over 1,000 motorcycles in 1909 to manufacturing 27,000 motorcycles in 1920—the company’s Milwaukee factory experienced near-constant expansion. Construction through this relatively brief period created the buildings that today, a century later, are still the proud home of Harley-Davidson. While motorcycle production ceased at the site in 1973, today the Juneau Avenue facility serves as the company’s corporate headquarters and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
